Personal Statement

My name is Jiwoo Jung, and I am a junior student in Yonsei University. 

My major is Information Interaction Design, which is a major under the Humanities and Social Sciences field. In my senior year of high school, I was captivated in applying for the convergence of various fields offered by HASS in UIC. And in my first year, among the 8 majors, I desired to major in IID to focus on developing effective information systems and exploring new forms of interaction through studying design. Through what I learn, I desire to build up qualifications in a major company’s design department. After that, I wish to start my own business. 

As a designer I will visualize the planner's language, convert it into the marketer's language.

Melting the concept of the whole project is the key and it goes beyond the skill of simply persuading verbally, including understanding their tendencies. A task-oriented mindset is more important when it comes to melting the concept of the entire project. These know-how are what I expect to learn through my major.

And with these goals, through Interaction Design class, I wish to be able to comfortably utilize digital technology regarding UX and the design market trends. Also, since it is my first time properly learning about UX prototyping and HCI theory, I look forward to attending this course led by an expert in this area.
